ethical boundaries that it has established within Western society.
Then they examine Acts 1:8 and a dynamic of baptism that is
often overlooked: to be overwhelmed by the Holy Spirit.
Dr. Lake examines the biblical/historical narrative of the
visitations of the Holy Spirit and how Jesus completely changed the
working of the Holy Spirit from visiting to abiding and all that it
represents. The baptism in the Holy Spirit is not us “getting
the Holy Ghost;” rather, it is the Holy Spirit getting us! We
